Hi Jodi, > Is it possible to have URI's for listserv messages appended to the messages themselves? I find frequently myself going to the listserv archives page, solely in order to get an identifer/link for a message. I forwarded your request to our (great) W3C support person, Coralie Mercier, and here is the answer I got. There's no miracle, but the solution she proposed does part of the trick. Your message was for example http://www.w3.org/mid/28F57B2C-9F45-4175-BD62-BECECBCDD696@deri.org ... Antoine ------ No, this is not easily feasible. However, messages that are sent from a mailing list bear the dedicated header Archived-At, or X-Archived-At, followed by a URI that resolves to the mail archive page of that message. It is of the form <http://www.w3.org/mid/mailidentification@machineidentification>. I hope this is good enough for this person. What I did myself for my own similar purposes, is to ask my MUA to reveal the Archived-At header, or the X-Archived-At header and when a messages comes from a list, I have a quick link to its archive directly in the section that shows all the headers of my MUA. Coralie
