I have just had a first stab at creating the Citation of Scientific Datasets use case. I need to do some more tidying up (add links etc) and run it past my collaborators on the project to make sure I have not got anything too wrong, but I think it is nearly there. http://www.w3.org/2005/Incubator/lld/wiki/Use_Case_Citation_of_Scientific_Datasets I have struggled a little with this use case (and why I have been putting it off) with fitting it into the boundaries of the remit of the XG. I think there is potential of overlap with other W3C groups like the Health Care and Life Sciences Group (with which we have started to make contact as a project) but I think this is what makes the case interesting as it considers the overlap that needs to be identified with other efforts (as I mention in the challenges). I hope it is not too tangential to the main interests of this group which seem to be more focused on traditional library data - again I hope there is enough overlap with interests in author identification and links to publishers and citations, which I have tried to highlight, to make the case useful. I think there have been at least one or two others who have stated an interest in citation and links to data. I would be happy to collaborate with you to change/amalgamate if that is a way forward, and I can put more effort in if the use case is felt to be in scope (or elaborate on the parts that are most in scope), so feedback would be much appreciated. Regards, Monica
