Hello! My name is Alexander Haffner and I'm a computer scientist. Since September 2009 I work as a research fellow for the Competence Centre for Interoperable Metadata (KIM) [1] at the German National Library (DNB) [2]. From 2005 to 2009 I worked at the chair for Human Computer Interaction at the University of Technology Dresden [3] in the fields of usability and accessibility research. Currently, I primarily work in the area of the DNB data analysis and the according data modelling to meet future cataloguing models like FRBR and FRAD. In particular we elaborate strategies to apply RDA and to establish the compliant metadata in the semantic web. Recently, we released our first linked open data service [4] (English documentation will be available soon) which is a first step to better utilize library data and to improve (modular) data exchange. Besides authority data we intend to publish our bibliographic data as linked data as soon as possible. cheers, Alexander [1] http://www.kim-forum.org/ [2] http://www.d-nb.de/ [3] http://tu-dresden.de/en [4] https://wiki.d-nb.de/display/LDS -- Alexander Haffner Deutsche Nationalbibliothek Informationstechnik Adickesallee 1 D-60322 Frankfurt am Main Telefon: +49-69-1525-1766 Telefax: +49-69-1525-1799 mailto:a.haffner@d-nb.de http://www.d-nb.de
