Dear all, When we drafted and discussed the charter, we had some idea on how our work should be organized. We feel now it should be more formalized, following the example of [1]. Of course we must remain flexible, and be ready to adapt changes in such a schedule. Our timeline should first help everyone have a basic idea of what we're heading at and when, easing communication and better managing expectations (in the group and outside). Adapting the timeline at [1] to our own XG start date translates into: * Jun: Organization of the group and participants * Jul-Aug: Development of use case scenarios * Aug-Sep: Articulate requirements that arise from use cases * Sep-Feb: Prepare a state of the art report described in the context of the use cases * Feb-May: Develop roadmap for future developments and possible recommendations for standardization efforts So ideally we could get a group working on Use Case scenarios over the summer. We'd like to discuss that in the next call! Best, Antoine, Tom, Emmanuelle [1] http://www.w3.org/2005/Incubator/prov/wiki/Timeline As chairs one of our important roles is to get inspiration from other incubator groups to help the work of this XG moving quickly forward :-) And the Provenance XG is one clear source of best practices.
