The call was cut short to 20 minutes, due to technical difficulties with the conference bridge. 1. Agreed to make this a recurring weekly call 2. Agreed on the general approach: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xg-htmlspeech/2011Jun/att-0008/speech-protocol-basic-approach-01.html 3. Discussed next steps to flesh out spec: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xg-htmlspeech/2011Jun/0020.html i. Milan agreed to draft #1 by next week (Select the subset of MRCP messages that clearly intersects with our requirements) ii. We decided to postpone #2 (Add other messages implied by our requirements) until we have progress on #1 iii. Robert will work on #3 (Flesh out the media transport and media control messages) and report an update next week. Need to consider RTP. iv. Discussion of #4,5,6 deferred to be revisited next week. 4. Brief discussion of the requirements and design decisions from the protocol point-of-view http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xg-htmlspeech/2011Jun/att-0011/protocol-reqs.html i. We need more time to review this. ii. One general observation is that some of these are outdated by discussions that have occurred since they were written iii. Some need to be clarified (e.g. mention ASR, but would also apply to TTS). iv. There's also a lot of overlap v. We'll discuss more in mail this week (e.g. http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xg-htmlspeech/2011Jun/att-0011/protocol-reqs.html)
