Group, There will be no call this week. Please continue working on your proposals. While we don't all agree on all of the requirements, there is a solid core on which we do agree. Keep in mind that for a standard to be successful it must be widely adopted. Wide adoption happens when the standard meets the needs of more than just one or two organizations. Thus, faster progress and greater ultimate adoption success will come from proposals that inclusively address multiple needs. Proposing solutions that make other strongly-desired requirements difficult or impossible to support is not helpful in either the short- or long-term. However, it is reasonable to submit proposals that cover a subset of the requirements, with the understanding that a final proposal or set of proposals may well differ from the individual subsets as we work to meld them into a more cohesive whole. I look forward to seeing the various proposals and the extent to which they cover the various requirements. -- dan
