Mailing list public-xg-emotion up and running

Hi all,

the public mailing list for the Emotion Incubator group should now be up
and running. As the initial group chair (and consequently list admin), I
had received some subscription requests but the software wasn't working
properly, so people weren't actually subscribed to the list. W3C staff
confirmed that the software problems should be fixed now; I have taken
the liberty to add all requesters to the list by hand, as well as all
the W3C member participants. You should be able to unsubscribe from this
list at any time; contact me in case of a problem.

The public mailing list is where, according to the Emotion Incubator
group charter [1], most of the technical communication will take place.

For the official group participants, there is a second mailing list
member-xg-emotion; the use of this list should be limited to
administrative issues.

The first phone meeting of the formal group participants (W3C member
delegates and invited experts) is scheduled for Monday, 4 September
2006, at 15:00 UTC (that is 4pm in London, 5pm in Berlin, 11pm in
Beijing, and 8am in San Francisco. Details on calling instructions and
irc use will follow (on the member-xg-emotion list).

I anticipate that content-oriented discussions on this public list will
pick up speed shortly before that first phone meeting, and of course
after it :-)

Looking forward to lively and fruitful discussions, best regards,

Marc Schröder

Here. Now. Real, first-person experience. Am I there to witness it?
