Hi, folks- After discussing the AudioWorking Group charter at today's informal telcon, I have taken that feedback there into account, noting that streaming is out of scope except for coordination with other groups, adding more explicit discussion of the microphone device access, and added liaisons with MIDI and Khronos. Please send feedback to this list on this charter: http://www.w3.org/2010/12/audio-wg-charter.html Al MacDonald and I decided earlier today to look for additional co-chairs to help drive the Audio WG forward to a successful outcome. If you are interested in being a co-chair, please let me know. It would be ideal to have co-chairs from different communities (perhaps one each from the Mozilla and WebKit camps) so we have balanced management that can reach consensus more easily. Finally, I want to reiterate that this Audio Incubator Group (or its successor Community Group) will persist after the formation of the Audio WG (assuming that group is approved). While discussion of music notation is out of scope for the Audio WG, which will concentrate on a client-side audio API, it is still within scope for this incubator group.
