The insert Element

I'm having the greatest difficulty finding a way of defining <insert/> in 
the presence of sort properties without making an already hard-to-read 
section even more complicated.

I want to propose, rather than normatively requiring that <insert/> inserts 
elements at the right position in sorted sequences, that it ends with:

 If the resulting sequence has sort properties, the sequence will end up 
sorted, regardless of where the nodes are inserted. How this achieved is an 
implementation decision.
