I found another mention of evaluating AVTs: https://www.w3.org/community/xformsusers/wiki/XForms_2.0#Expressions in Attribute Value Templates (AVTs): evaluated whenever the containing element is processed. Looking at the attributes in the model, I think AVTs there should be evaluated during initialisation and recalculate, like other expressions there. I note that the @name of a <var/> can be an AVT. Do we agree?
