I'm wondering about our definition of the methods used for mailto: and  
where they come from.

There is an official definition of a mailto: URL, but none for a mailto  
*protocol*.

Browsers use a mailto URL to start up a mailer user agent, but don't do  
the actual mailing themselves.

Any opinions?
