It sounds like there are more people who like to have the meeting Sat and Sun (Feb 6,7) prior to CSS f2f. Can we all agree on these dates or would that be a total deal breaker for someone? Peter, thank you for getting the domain (extf.org), wiki and spec repos taking care of. Most people prefer Git I believe but there could be some mercurial fans too so it sounds like both? As for IRC channel, how about #extf Rossen From: Linss, Peter [mailto:peter.linss@hp.com] Sent: Monday, December 8, 2014 11:11 AM To: Rossen Atanassov Cc: Shane Stephens; public-wtf@w3.org Subject: Re: Inaugural Sydney Meeting On Dec 7, 2014, at 9:50 PM, Rossen Atanassov <Rossen.Atanassov@microsoft.com<mailto:Rossen.Atanassov@microsoft.com>> wrote: Again, for people traveling there will be easier if we minimize the days, thus Sat and Sun could work great for us (we'll be heavily jetlagged anyway so it doesn't matter if this is a week day). I can do either immediately before or after the CSS meeting, let's try to settle on the dates asap so we can all book/adjust our travel plans. David, I couldn't agree with you more. Shane and I will work on getting things up and running - wiki, agenda etc. everything that makes our f2f meetings a success. I'm happy to host (and manage) services on the csswg.org<http://csswg.org> machine. We can either setup a distinct domain name or carve out some space under csswg.org<http://csswg.org> (or w3ctag.org<http://w3ctag.org>). If we can't get the whattf.org<http://whattf.org> domain I see that csswtf.org<http://csswtf.org> is available, as is w3cwtf.org<http://w3cwtf.org>. Preferences? I presume we want a wiki and a spec repo, what else? (and which wiki software?) I can also easily add a CalDAV feed, Etherpad, IRC log, and a few other services. We also should pick an IRC channel. Hi David, We'll try and put some sort of rough schedule together ASAP - this is probably a good idea anyway :) Cheers, -Shane On Mon Dec 08 2014 at 4:42:06 PM Rossen Atanassov <Rossen.Atanassov@microsoft.com<mailto:Rossen.Atanassov@microsoft.com>> wrote: Thanks for the offer Shane. Having our inaugural meeting during the Sydney f2f will be optimal knowing that most of the CSS and SVG folks will be there. I want to explore the ability to meet during the weekend of Feb 7, 8 which will reduce the time of absence for all non-AUS folks. On the other hand if we have enough people who are willing to show up on Feb 5 it'd be great if you can host. Let us know soon folks. I think this would work really well. My initial thought is to reserve two days, probably Thursday 5th and Friday 6th Feb. I can sort out hosting and meals. Does that work for everyone? Cheers, -Shane
