I've updated the editor's draft to cover some of our recent discussion on usage modes, including Safe Browsing Mode. This material is now in a separate chapter. @@Web Security Context@@ Editor's Draft $Date: 2007/09/18 12:50:20 $ http://www.w3.org/2006/WSC/drafts/rec/rewrite.html#usage-modes For the record, I will propose to remove at least two of the requirements that are currently covered by Safe Browsing Mode; specifically, I would like to see some discussion about the "visually distinct" requirement, and about the whitelist-like part. I will open issues for both of these questions. Dan, Tim, in bringing this in, I've tried to phraes it all in terms of the optional requirements of this specification (the whitelist-like part being the outlier with respect to that); I've dropped things that are covered elsewhere, and have rephrased safe browsing mode in terms of tying up some MAYs elsewhere in the spec. Let me know whether you believe any core aspects are missing at this point. Thanks, -- Thomas Roessler, W3C <tlr@w3.org>
