Please reply with reactions, comments, etc. I think that sounds good, although I want to give an up front warning that my March/April looks to be pretty messy travel-wise, so I might be even slower than I am already on some deliverables :( Also, a quick note on being creative/generative: I think we need to spend time in April quickly generating and iterating ideas so that we have a wider set to choose from. Quick pitches should be placed on the wiki and then we can spend some time in the calls doing Q&A (maybe a 5 minute overview, 10 minutes of questions, and then follow ups to email?) on those ideas. That should help us rapidly flesh some out and determine which should be investigated as recommendations, and which should be dropped - coming up with a dropped idea is just as valuable as one that's followed through. Or maybe not that precise structure, but something that similarly encourages exploration without fear of being totally off base. cheers, mike > > > March 2 2007 > o First public Working Draft Working Group Note issued > > April > o Team reviews and approves wsc-usecases as the basis for goals and > process for making recommendations > oo All WG member review comments due April 4 > > o Team members put all initial recommendations into wiki > oo http://www.w3.org/2006/WSC/wiki/RecommendationIndex > oo More fleshed out is better, but by the end of April, we should > have at least short descriptions of all proposals that WG members > intend on making and/or supporting > > May > > o Turn wiki content into editor's draft of recommendations > oo Includes drafts of all goals in wsc-usecases, including > ooo "Document the status quo" (goal 2.1) http://www.w3.org/2006/WSC/ > wiki/DocumentStatusQuo > ooo "Reliable presentation of security information" (goal 2.5) > http://www.w3.org/2006/WSC/wiki/RobustSecurityIndicators > > o Editors draft of recommendations > oo Deadline May 14, two weeks before next f2f > > o Face to face, May 30 and 31 > oo Finalize wsc-usecases > oo Discuss recommendations > > June > o FPWD of recommendation > oo Based on editor's draft and f2f discussions > > o Last Call of wsc-usecases > > o Test plan starts > oo Functional, robustness, and usability > > July > o Initial concensus on recommendations > oo Based on security and usability and robustness criteria > > o Prototyping and coding of recommendations begins > > August > o Testing of recommendations > oo Complete round of fucntional tests > oo Begin robustness and usability tests > > o Second public WD of Recommendations > > September > o Analysis of initial test results > oo Feedback into recommendations > > October > o Third public WD of Recommendations > o Complete round of robustness and usability tests > > November > o Face to face > o Feedback robustness and usability tests into recommendations > o Last Call of Recommendations > > December - January > o Respond to and incorporate last call feedback > > February 08 > o Candidate recommendations > > May 08 > o Proposed recommendations > > June 08 > o Recommendations >
