Here's my take, but I'd very much like to hear if other members have a different view on this. The Note to data is a fair snapshot of what we've discussed and agreed to, in terms of direction and process. I highly recommend reading it (and reviewing it, and sending any feedback at all to the list, even small stuff, since that's how we're sure it's being reviewed). http://www.w3.org/2006/WSC/drafts/note/ Next, our SharedBookmarks area is a great place to level set on shared background and foundations. And Rachna just added stuff (I need to go figure out what; Rachna, is it easy for folks to figure out what your changes are, if they read it before?). http://www.w3.org/2006/WSC/wiki/SharedBookmarks I expect there's a number of recommendations that will start coming out, and I need to put a place in the wiki to track those, so we can have an easy reference list for reasons like this. Bob P posted on safe browsing, some of the demos at our last f2f might spawn proposals (petnames and EV handling come to mind). And Phil couched a recommendation on SSL and virtual hosting as something for the note. I expect our next phase to be a "meet in the middle" sort of approach; following the goals and other process set out in the Note (and charter), and discussing recommendations. What do others think? And, are there other sorts of responses you were hoping for Shawn? Welcome, and thanks for digging in so rapidly! As I mentioned in my introduction last week, I've just joined the WSC Working Group and it is my first experience with the W3C. I've been busy going through the email archives and associated websites in an effort to get caught up with everyone and I feel like my head is about to explode. ;-) I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to give me a brief synopsis of where the group is now so that I can "hit the ground running", so to speak. I will be on the call tomorrow morning, though I may have to drop off a bit early for a meeting. I've also just registered for the Dublin f2f meeting so I look forward to meeting many of you there!
