Ooh, I love introductions! My name is Mike Beltzner, and I work for the Mozilla Corporation in the realms of User Experience, Product Management, and Wild Behavioural Generalizations :) Now that Firefox 2 is safely out the door, I'm eager to discuss what we can do in Firefox 3 to make it easier for users to interact online without having to worry about their privacy or data security. I'm "beltzner" on IRC (is there a channel for this group?) and my crackberry lovingly delivers your emails to my pocket in near-instantaneous fashion should such a need arise! I'm a teacher and cognitive scientist by training, a skeptic and pragmatist by upbringing, and an optimist and compromise-seeker by nationality (Canadian). A five-year career at IBM prepared me for working with enterprises, my past year and a half has given me strong experience with issues facing browser vendors, but this is my first W3C working group; be gentle. :) Sadly a previous committment will keep me from the initial face to face in New York, but I hope to be able to contribute remotely and asynchronously to the discussions at that meeting, Mez willing! cheers, mike
