http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=6679 Summary: WS-MEX's stance towards metadata scope and semantics needs clarification Product: WS-Resource Access Version: PR Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: MetadataExchange AssignedTo: public-ws-resource-access-notifications@w3.org ReportedBy: gilbert.pilz@oracle.com QAContact: public-ws-resource-access-notifications@w3.org The mex:Metadata element acts as a simple container for metadata. WS-MEX makes no assertions about the scope, applicability or semantics of the metadata it transfers. Any correlation between the returned metadata and the resource(s) and/or service(s) exposed by the endpoint must be performed by the requester using information out of band to the WS-MEX exchange. The above needs to be clarified in normative text within WS-MEX. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
