> Europeans will need to join teleconferences 1 hour earlier between 9 March and 30 March. If the WS-Policy WG holds a teleconference on Wed Mar 19, this advice will be applicable for European participants. /paulc Paul Cotton, Microsoft Canada 17 Eleanor Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K2E 6A3 Tel: (425) 705-9596 Fax: (425) 936-7329 -----Original Message----- From: chairs-request@w3.org [mailto:chairs-request@w3.org] On Behalf Of Ralph R. Swick Sent: Monday, February 25, 2008 9:14 AM To: chairs@w3.org Cc: adminreq@w3.org Subject: US clocks move to Summer Time in 2 weeks. Semi-annual reminder of the start of Daylight Savings Time -- aka Summer Time -- coming soon to the US. Most of the US will be moving its clocks forward this year on March 9 (two weeks from yesterday). This is 3 weeks earlier than Europe. Most Zakim teleconference times are based on the US clocks. Therefore, unless groups have sent specific requests to base their teleconference times on some other timezone or to change your teleconference times next month, Europeans will need to join teleconferences 1 hour earlier between 9 March and 30 March. After 30 March most teleconferences will be back on the same relative local time for Europe. The [1]teleconference calender is the authoritative source for the Zakim schedule -- this page is generated from the same database that nightly downloads into the hardware. The calendar shows UTC times for each day of each teleconference in the dated (monthly calendar) section. The UTC times are all linked to a service that will give you the corresponding local times for major cities around the world *for that particular date*. In the conference details section of the calendar, both the Boston local time and the UTC time are shown *for the next occurrence* of each teleconference. If you are unsure about the scheduled time of any teleconference, check the UTC link above the teleconference name on the specific date of that teleconference; e.g. [2]. If you require any changes to individual teleconference times, please be sure to give adminreq sufficient notice [3].
