Suggest a change to the 3rd bullet in section 3.6 <old> Use the referenced IRI and retrieve a policy expression from some policy repository (local or remote) or catalog. Policy tools may use any protocols (say Web Services Metadata Exchange) for such metadata retrieval. These protocols may require additional out of band information. </old> <new> Use the referenced IRI and retrieve a policy expression from some policy repository (local or remote), registry, or catalog. Policy tools or policy-aware clients may use any protocols (say UDDI or Web Services Metadata Exchange) for such metadata retrieval. These protocols may require additional out of band information. </new> Rationale: Policy-aware clients may also need to retrieve policies, not just tools. WS-Policy - Attachment REC has normative references to UDDI (an OASIS standard). Attachment REC makes non-normative reference to WS-MEX. Either or both protocols may be used in retrieval of policy. UDDI is considered a "registry", not a "repository". Perhaps UDDI can be considered a "catalog", but usually the term "registry" is used. Since it may be too late now to add a major section to the Primer, has the WG considered a separate WG Note that would provide more detail about what it means to be a "policy-aware client"? The phrase "policy-aware client" is used, but I think there is probably more to say about them. Paul
