Hi Umit, Thank you for submitting bug 4300. The WG examined the bug and made the following decisions on the Primer: 1. section 3.10 was promoted to section 4. 2. The introduction was changed to read "4. Versioning Policy Language provides examples and best practices on versioning of the policy language itself, mostly intended for policy implementers." In general, we thought that section 4 needed to be highlighted as a different type of section than other sections. We noted that there is still the Editorial Note now at the beginning of Section 4 that states the WG is considering the best location for the material. There was some sentiment that the section would stay because a move to the Policy documents would involve going back to Last Call, but the group did not pursue that topic very far. The WG felt that this section's Best Practice notes were indeed Best Practices, and the absence of Best Practices in other sections of the Primer did not mean that more Best Practices in those sections would be uncovered. There was some sentiment that some BP's would be uncovered, which would make the document more consistent. We also spent some time discussing alternative wordings to the term "Best Practice" but we felt that something like "WG recommendations" or "Suggestions" was sophistry and we should stay with Best Practice if they are indeed Best Practices, which we felt the are. We hope this satisfies you. Please let the WG know if this doesn't.
