AIMS and SCOPE

Following the success of the previous three workshops, this edition 
sees the introduction of a tutorial day on Wednesday 17 June, thus 
making YR-SOC'09 a 3-day event. This workshop series is designed to 
bring together PhD students, junior researchers working in industry 
and those who completed their doctoral studies within the past few 
years. Attendance to YR-SOC'09 is open to all. The workshop aims to
build a reputable and respectable forum for junior researchers with 
inputs from industry practitioners. Core objectives are to exchange 
information regarding advancements in the state of the art and the
practice of SOC as well as to identify emerging research topics and 
define the future trends in this domain. 

Service-oriented computing is more than just ideas related to those
services: in particular, it is an opportunity to bring together the 
business/user domain and the services domain. 'Service' is meant to 
encompass (semantic) web services, grid services, e-services, etc.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

    * Mathematical foundations of SOC
    * Data management issues in SOC
    * Frameworks for building SOC applications
    * Composite SOC creation and enabling infrastructures (e.g. workflow technology)

SUBMISSION OF PAPERS / POSTERS

YR-SOC'09 contributions will be selected according to originality, 
significance, and general interest. Paper submissions are welcome 
in the range of 5-15 pages in ENTCS format (http://www.entcs.org). 
Poster submissions are welcome in the form of 2-5 pages abstracts.
Authors should clearly explain the contribution of their research 
in terms of its theoretical and/or practical value, as well as its 
relationship with the related literature. 

The preproceedings will be available at the workshop; publication 
of the postproceedings in ENTCS is under negotiation.
