A slight erratum: Given that the existing behavior always requires a reply, any marker aimed at allowing back-channels to close should be cast as boolean "back channel may be closed", defaulting to "false". This is a bit counter-intuitive by itself, but it allows existing proxies that don't know anything to ignore the new flag. The back-channel only closes if the sender asked for it and the receiver knows how to recognize this.
