Hi Scott,
You asked me to provide you a quick tutorial on how to get the data out of Piwik regarding the DocSprint.
I think that although we had the infrastructure to track precisely people present at the DocSprint, I think not everybody actually used the URL http://wpd.mx/amsterdam. Therefore, we do not have a reasonable head count using the campaign itself.
@Patrick, I am going to show a way to get a report. Please fill-in if you have recommendations on the way to get the report.
Please note that Piwik has UTC-6 as the calculated time-zone and it might impact the definition of a day in the reports and the actual day… in holland at that time.
Here is how I am suggesting to use.
0. Login to http://tracking.webplatform.org/
1. Click 'WebPlatform' (it is specific for the docs section)
2. In the head, follow: Goals > Saves a page
3. In the 'date range' box, select from Friday, to sunday.
There, you will be able to see a few interesting links:
1. View goals by Visit > Custom Variables > username
2. View goals by Visit > Country > Netherlands (202 visits)
As I said previously, the 'usernames' in the report would need to be filtered with people who has the appropriate 'Campaign' cookie that was to be created using the http://wpd.mx/amsterdam.
Hope it is helpful
