Dear WoT Working Group, I am delighted to share that in today's Profiles task force meeting we closed the final issues blocking the publication of Web of Things (WoT) Profiles 1.0. The task force therefore now considers the content of the document to be complete¹ to the point that it can be published as a Group Note <https://www.w3.org/standards/types/#x2-5-2-group-note>, as per the plan previously agreed by resolutions in the Profiles <https://www.w3.org/2025/05/07-wot-profile-minutes.html> call on 7th May and Main call <https://www.w3.org/2025/05/21-wot-minutes.html> on 21st May. I would therefore like to call for the following resolution, to be discussed in the Main call² next week (6th August): *The WoT Working Group agrees to publish the current Editor's Draft of Web of Things (WoT) Profiles as a Group Note.* Please see the latest Editor's Draft at https://w3c.github.io/wot-profile/ As per the Working Group's decision policy <https://www.w3.org/2023/10/wot-wg-2023.html#decisions>, if there are no objections to this resolution within five working days (i.e. by the next Main call) then the Working Group may choose to adopt this resolution with immediate effect, so that the publication process may begin. Please take this opportunity to carry out a final review of the document and raise any questions or concerns you may have as issues <https://github.com/w3c/wot-profile/issues>, or by responding to this email. Thank you for everyone's hard work so far! Kind regards Ben Francis Co-moderator, Profiles Task Force Footnotes: 1. Pending the addition of a note in the Status of this Document section to explain the switch from the W3C recommendation track <https://www.w3.org/policies/process/#rec-track> to the note track <https://www.w3.org/policies/process/#note-track>, which will be added at the time of publication. Wording to be agreed in issue #432 <https://github.com/w3c/wot-profile/issues/432>. 2. Ideally we would make a task force resolution before the working group resolution but as it stands the Profiles call is directly after the Main call next week. We'll figure out a way to co-ordinate that.
