Dear WoT WG, As communicated in the last main call and visible under the schedule at https://github.com/w3c/wot/blob/main/planning/wg-schedule.md#current , the I will ask a Group Call for Consensus (CfC) in the next main call for publishing three documents after merging some final pull requests in the main call. These pull requests have been reviewed in the TD call and some final changes needed to be done before merging them. Below are the details: Bindings Registry: * This is a new document in the registry track and it should go to the “First Draft Registry” state after CfC and transition request * This document exaplains the registry mechanism for the bindings. * Editor’s Draft to be used as the basis of resolution: https://w3c.github.io/wot-binding-registry/ * Outstanding important PRs: None Thing Description 2.0: * As it is technically a new document by W3C mechanisms, TD 2.0 will go to a “First Public Working Draft” state after CfC and transition request. * Changes so far from 1.1: Optional content type, new bindings chapter and related refactoring, removing of the built-in HTTP binding, usage of experimental context URI. Some other minor changes were also done but the main work was spent on planning of features. * Editor’s Draft to be used as the basis of resolution: https://w3c.github.io/wot-thing-description * Outstanding important PRs: * Removing HTTP Binding: https://github.com/w3c/wot-thing-description/pull/2123 * Adding temporary context URL: https://github.com/w3c/wot-thing-description/pull/2128 * Small Editorial PR: https://github.com/w3c/wot-thing-description/pull/2130 * Related to TD, wot-resources repository also has a PR to be merged: https://github.com/w3c/wot-resources/pull/25 Binding Templates: * We are “retiring” the binding templates core specification. The mechanism will live in the TD spec and the registry will handle the “list of bindings”. The repository will be used for the individual binding documents. Even though it is retiring, we will publish a new group note. Important Note: The word “retired” may not be correct in W3C and Kaz will talk with PLH. After that, the outstanding PR can be merged and the document can be published. * Editor’s Draft to be used as the basis of resolution: https://pr-preview.s3.amazonaws.com/w3c/wot-binding-templates/pull/434.html * https://github.com/w3c/wot-binding-templates/pull/434 * Outstanding PR: https://github.com/w3c/wot-binding-templates/pull/434 Please have a look at the PRs beforehand to go quicker during the call.
