The mission of the Web of Things Interest Group is to support the efforts of the Web of Things Working Group by identifying appropriate standardization targets through engagement with stakeholders inside and outside the W3C and through collection and analysis of use cases and requirements. The major changes from the current Charter are to: * update the Mission statement and "1. Motivation and Background" section to describe the IG's current work; * update "2. Scope" section to describe the importance of the IG's work on use cases, functional requirements, Testing and Marketing more appropriately; * update "4.1 WoT-related W3C Groups" section to describe the work of the WoT CG and the WoT JP CG; * update "4.2 Other W3C Groups" and "4.3 External Organizations" sections based on latest collaborations. The proposed team resource is 0.1 FTE. Current participants will not need to re-join the group if the new charter is approved.
