Dear Advisory Committee Representative,
[This announcement will be forwarded to W3C group chairs]

This is an advance notice that the Team is currently working on a new
charter for the Web of Things Interest Group:
https://w3c.github.io/wot-charter-drafts/wot-ig-2023-draft.html

The mission of the Web of Things Interest Group (WoT IG) is to support
the efforts of the Web of Things Working Group (WoT WG) by identifying
appropriate standardization targets through engagement with stakeholders
inside and outside the W3C and by collection and analysis of use cases
and requirements.

The Team expects to formally propose this charter to the Membership in
February 2024.

We welcome input and feedback on the draft charter. If you wish to make
your comments public, you're welcome to raise comments on the draft
charter at:
https://github.com/w3c/wot-charter-drafts/issues

W3C Members may also discuss on the member-confidential mailing list
<w3c-ac-forum@w3.org>[1]. We also welcome your general expressions of
interest and support on that mailing list.

The current charter [2] is hereby extended to 31 March 2024, to allow
the WoT IG to continue its work and to cover the time needed for the
rechartering process to complete.

More information about the group can be found on its home page [3],
including information about group Chairs, Staff Contacts, and
instructions for joining the group.

If you have any questions or need further information, please contact
Kaz Ashimura <ashimura@w3.org>, Web of Things IG Team Contact.
