Dear WoT WG/IG/CG members, I’d like to make you aware of the first formal meeting of the W3C Web Thing Protocol Community Group (https://www.w3.org/community/web-thing-protocol/) on Thursday 15th September at TPAC 2022. The goal of the group is to define a common protocol for communicating with connected devices over the web, to enable ad-hoc interoperability on the Web of Things. This work is intended to complement the work of the Web of Things Working Group by defining a sub-protocol which can be used in conjunction with WoT Thing Descriptions. - Group charter https://w3c.github.io/web-thing-protocol/charter/ - Web Thing Protocol Use Cases & Requirements (draft report) https://w3c.github.io/web-thing-protocol/requirements/ - Calendar event https://www.w3.org/events/meetings/c7ce6c53-6436-4c09-91c9-97ec01ffe7f3 - Meeting agenda https://github.com/w3c/web-thing-protocol/wiki/TPAC-2022 All members of the Web of Things community are cordially invited to join the event remotely or in person at TPAC 2022 ( https://www.w3.org/2022/09/TPAC/). Feedback on the draft Use Cases & Requirements report is also welcome on GitHub (https://github.com/w3c/web-thing-protocol/issues) or the public mailing list ( https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-web-thing-protocol/).
