[6]Dinner * [7]Summary of Action Items * [8]Summary of Resolutions __________________________________________________________ <kaz> scribenick: McCool <scribe> agenda: tpac logistics, conflicts, dinner, quick updates (pubs) Publications Kaz: still wrapping up, got sick ... however, will publish today using automatic system ... thing description priority, will try to get the others done Matthias: would be good to get out there so we can use it as a basis at tpac Kaz: btw, we are publishing the fixed version on the "main" branch... just wondering if we'll use the "td4lyon" branch for PlugFest in Lyon. Let's check during the PF call later. TPAC logistics Matthias: we have been refining the agenda [9]https://www.w3.org/WoT/IG/wiki/F2F_meeting,_20-26_October_20 18,_Lyon,_France#Input [9] https://www.w3.org/WoT/IG/wiki/F2F_meeting,_20-26_October_2018,_Lyon,_France#Input plugfest on the weekend, we will discuss details in the next call this time will try to have some concrete pairings, will use a spreadsheet to track changes McCool: template? Matthias: not yet, but will be tabular form of preparation doc ... Monday have a number of other meetings McCool: the Monday security session will be the main discussion, on Friday we only have 30m ... so that will just be a summary Kaz: will check with the university about the availability of the room for the dev meetup. also wired connection and display interface McCool: monitors will be just for dev meetup, not for demos ... for demo session on Friday kaz and mccool are bringing projectors... Matthias: last year we just used laptops and the main projector ... and that worked well ... Tuesday, various meetings ... please add to the schedule ... there are also some chair things ... including jeff and alan bird regarding rechartering; will report on this on Friday ... will also be have meetings with ETSI and OSC ... but there is a conflict, we will update ... plan is to move the ETSI meeting to 14:00 if possible ... ETSI meeting is not restricted, if you are interested, let matthias know ... all members are welcome to join ... the Tuesday meeting is actually with Orange, not directly with ETSI; a different project than the one on Friday ... wed, plenary day ... we will have a room for demos, quite big ... expect same setup as last time ... U-shaped table, we can't move it... ... but we can set up multiple demos, is on level -2 ... not really the basement, is on the side of a hill ... hopefully that will not affect LTE reception ... then there is a reception ... michael lagally worked on scenarios, both for here and for the dev meeting ... or rather, we will AT LEAST have the scenarios we are working on for the dev meetup ... Thursday, some conflicts, i.e. https local/json-ld ... trying to avoid the conflict with wishi ... which also conflicts with json-ld meeting ... also will add a 15 getting started and agenda bashing ... but did swap scripting API and thing description ... to give more time to the TD discussion ... is that a problem for the scripting API? ... not everyone needs to be in the demo sessions... Zoltan: would like more time on scripting... Matthias: not really possible unless we give up the break Lagally: can't we start at 8:30? Matthias: observers will not know about that and will only come at 9 ... maybe we can have some joint discussions, eg of uriTemplates Zoltan: terms are also important for scripting ... so really should discuss TD first ... TD is a dependency, normally want to cover it firsts <inserted> (so we'll move Scripting API slot after TD slot) Matthias: (agenda bashing... edits) ... can I get more information on these topics? Kaz: based on plugfests, many people were asking about it Zoltan: this is something that keeps coming up, but we have not standardized so far McCool: let's talk about extensions on Sunday, come up with an example Matthias: schedules some breakouts on Wed afternoon ... should start talking about it during the plugfest too ... security meeting on Monday will be focussed on security Lagally: we should discuss a profile for REST/HTTP Matthias: profiling is out of scope for now... ... so I guess it should be brought up as a rechartering topic ... is the revised agenda acceptable now? Zoltan: uriVariables are going to be an issue... McCool: I did create a test case Matthias: binding templates, emphasize that it is an informal doc ... to describe various protocols, examples for http, coap, and mqtt ... and variants, like ocf and lwm2m ... we also need to figure out how to publish vocabularies ... is a critical path, need guidance from staff ... json-ld joint session ... get aligned, talk about our priorities, timelines, etc. ... there is a little bit of time in 17:00-18:00 ... we will use as a breakout session Kaz: Regarding "breakouts" on Wednesday, do we want an actual breakout session? Matthias: not formal, just people who want to talk about something find each other Kaz: so just in the lobby or whatever Matthias: could also happen some other time, eg in the plugfest, at lunch, etc Friday Matthias: presentation from ETSI, see an update on the LD work ... different from the thing on Tuesday ... then session on architecture, update on doc and terminology ... conclusions to what we discussed in prague ... security is short, will just be a summary of the outcomes of the meeting on Monday ... testing and validation ... looking into inviting someone from staff to give us a clearer picture of what we need McCool: should mention that ege and I plan to meet and try to figure out what assertions are and are not being tested by current validation tools Matthias: rechartering session ... new topics are profiles ... template ... will also be presentation for smart cities proposal ... to create a stronger business case ... will go first since it affects other things Matthias: also want to organize another workshop, position-paper driven ... also going to make some space for iotschema.org ... need proper framework to run that activity ... conflict due to Dave and McCool after 15:30 ... last sessions, discuss timeline and todos ... plan next F2F, pretty early next year, end of Jan/beginning of Feb ... maybe at Keio ... but there is a problem in Feb Kaz: we are talking with Keio about meeting in March ... and also maybe another online plugfest end of 2018 ... should check who else needs to leave early McCool: zoltan won't be there on Friday at all Matthias: so it sounds like everyone else will be there until the very end <kaz> [10]https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/1/WoTPlugFest201810/results [10] https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/1/WoTPlugFest201810/results Kaz: plugfest questionnaire did ask for hotel stay information ... so we can at least guess McCool: although my issue was not because I was leaving early, but because I have a conflict Dinner Matthias: Saturday was suggested ... there will be many restaurant choices ... we can make a reservation for people registered for plugfest ... ok, sounds like Saturday night it is <kaz> [11]https://www.w3.org/wiki/Discover_Lyon#Restaurants [11] https://www.w3.org/wiki/Discover_Lyon#Restaurants Kaz: alexandra provided some suggestions McCool: i suggest we just let matthias to just look at the options and send email around <ege> but I can take charge of the restaurant reservation (and Matthias asks Ege to take over the role) [adjourned] Summary of Action Items Summary of Resolutions [End of minutes] __________________________________________________________ Minutes manually created (not a transcript), formatted by David Booth's [12]scribe.perl version 1.154 ([13]CVS log) $Date: 2018/10/18 11:45:13 $ [12] http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/~checkout~/2002/scribe/scribedoc.htm [13] http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/2002/scribe/
