OCF liaison
McCool(MC): focus on 2 devices: light, motion sensor.
Definition of prot. bindings
MK: PR on the thing description, still to do
oneM2M liaison
<kaz> [14]Yongjing's slides
[14] https://github.com/w3c/wot/blob/master/PRESENTATIONS/WoT
Intro for oneM2M TP29 Industry Day (May 2017).pptx
YZ: presentation two weeks ago
in China, in front of local organization bodies. Same time as
oneM2M's F2F.
integration of WoT within oneM2M. Common scenarii, as shown in
the last PlugFest
ETSI's IoT Week (23 – 26 October 2017 in ETSI HQ)

<kaz> [16]Call for Demos
[16] http://www.etsi.org/etsi-iot-workshop-2017/call-for-showcases
YZ: someone from WoT? I'll be there (on behalf of oneM2M, at
least)
MK: is in the calendar of IRTF T2T. Not sure anybody is going,
though
YZ: calls for presentations/demos. They might expect something
from WoT
Deadline for presentations: June, 20th
JH: What topic do you expect to be discussed there?
<kaz> [ there is some description on the workshop at:
[17]http://www.etsi.org/etsi-iot-workshop-2017/call-for-present
ations]
[17] http://www.etsi.org/etsi-iot-workshop-2017/call-for-presentations
YZ: main idea would be to encourage SDOs to collaborate.
Collaboration WoT/oneM2M to put forward.
MC: I'll see if I can make a pres. But somebody in Europe might
be better?
YZ: also call for demos. Focus on oneM2M. Can we showcase
alignment with WoT?
<kaz> [ call for showcases:

es]
[18] http://www.etsi.org/etsi-iot-workshop-2017/call-for-showcases
MK: along those lines, specifying precisely what parts of
oneM2M are of interest for WoT might be useful.
presentations
none
TF reports
MC: TF TD?
TK: I moderated the last call (Sebastian is in vacation).
discussion around serialization formats
also TD namespace, asked W3C experts.
MC: question in the OCF liaison: TD templates?
TK: examples to collect from the past PlugFests, maybe?
Kaz: During the last TD call, made a proposal about spliting
protocol bindings into two layers: device-independent layer and
device-dependent layer
I'm encouraged to submit a pullrequest for it. Make sense to
submit an issue first?
kaz's strawman image on binding
Kaz's strawman diagram on Binding
MC: good idea
MK: encapsulation as proposed here is good (separate prot.
bindings, encapsulation of hypermedia controls)
TK: other topic was how to use semantics (e.g. for discovery &
orchestration)
Michael Koster defined use cases, Darko proposed something
based on that
MK: need a follow-up (issue)
DA: please let me know, so that I can comment
TK: that was all.
MC: LD TF?
DA: nothing new, no telco last week.
MC: Security TF?
ER: threat model available
examples still to provide
PR for that.
MC: procedure to merge PRs in the IG? (Not WG)
Kaz: co-Chairs like you (McCool and Yongjing) can make the
decision about the procedure. I think the TF leaders should
have permission to approve pullrequests. Elena needs to be part
of the editors
MC: let's have discussion offline later.
... Scripting TF?
JH: could not moderate last call. Zoltan?
ZK: issue regarding synchronization
common call with security next Monday

still no recommended hotel
Uday: Still waiting for the list. Will update right after this
meeting with other alternatives
Quick update: separate payment for the restaurant (+ tour).
Could participants pay cash at the venue?
MC: amount?
Uday: deadline for registration is June, 12th
Needed for the Düsseldorf Congress Center
MC: last time, last minute registration for the Open Day.
Should be avoided for meeting days.
Uday: external attendees: CEO of Lemonbeat will present.
Matthias spoke about someone from SigFox?
MC: agenda for the Open Day should be set soon
topics?
MK: is iot.schema.org in the scope?
MC: sure
JH: reached out to somebody from Microsoft (about Azure/WoT
API). Still early
MK: found a typo within the source of the registration page
will let Kaz know about that
AOB?
MC: iot.schema.org is something we could discuss? Or is it too
early?
MK: is a good idea. Intention is that anybody (not only
semantic geeks) uses it. Raise awareness in our group might be
a good idea.
either next call or the one after.
MC: end of the meeting
