[TF-AP] Minutes of web meeting on July 22nd, 9AM CEST

Key topics/findings:

Johannes reported from the joint Meeting with the IRTF T2T pRG.

Key outcomes:
 * there will be a "cookbook"-type document on best practices and patterns on how to implement web APIs 
 * a resource pattern and media type for subscriptions is widely seen as useful, an internet draft will be set up
 * the IRTF T2T group will use and contribute to the use case document 
 * there will be several implementations and a plugtest of RESTful APIs for a trivial Thing-to-Thing scenario.

Nimura-san presented about the Bluetooth GATT profile (see PDF attached)
Key findings:
 * client-server mimic, device usually server.
 * allows CRUD operations remote key/value store 
 * can be modeled into web things framework with low effort
 * could be used as a mapping target for RESTful protocols with some more work

William Miller, chair of ISO/IEC/IEEE P21451-1-4 (Sensei-IoT*) presented bout the draft standards
Key findings:
 * approach is driven by XMPP
 * emphasis on mapping of different protocols to XMPP transport
 * strong security focus (domain federation and identity)
 * protocol-agnostic model
