Some notes taken during the breakout session at the WoT IG F2F about next steps for the WoT framework and discovery/provisioning activities within the IG. General work organization ----- - Provide an outline of the document - Brainstorm on the initial contents - Comments and refinements made as contributions to the document - Include survey of and reference to existing works - Regular calls (frequency to be determined) WoT framework ----- Dave volunteer to lead the work. Soumia and Sebastian volunteer to edit the WoT Framework deliverable. Tasks: - map use cases to concepts (metadata, events, properties, actions), wondering what we want to access and what for in all cases. - look at existing technologies and see how to integrate (e.g. SenML, ETSI M2M, OIC), review semantic modelling languages - include examples of description language to motivate the design (not a technical definition) - regular feedback interactions with the rest of the IG (e.g. to amend the list of use cases) Goal is to publish an IG Note by end of September that includes concrete instantiations of the architecture based on use cases. Discovery and provisioning ----- Soumia willing to lead the work. Tasks: - Soumia will provide a structure for the document by next week. - ask the right questions starting with what discovery means and classify the results as starting point. - look at other organizations that have done things in that space, such as OneM2M, inviting experts. Work should take at least 6 months (includes both discover and provisioning)
