Hi, Just an observation. I discovered that "<!doctypehtml>" triggers standards mode in Mozilla, IE6 and Opera. SGML required whitespace between the tokens[1] but browsers seem to recognize the tokens even without whitespace[2]. For instance, <!doctypehtmlpublic"-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN""http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"> triggers standards mode, while <!doctypehtmlpublic"-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"> triggers quirks mode.
