The note at the end of chapter 7.1.1.9 saying "All canvases implement HTMLImageElement, so canvas elements can be passed to the drawImage methods" looks like it's superfluous, now that HTMLCanvasElement no longer inherits from HTMLImageElement. The rest of the spec, e.g. the second paragraph of that chapter, was already changed accordingly. Best regards, Jens
