Dear Members of the WebTransport Working Group, I'm relaying the following announcement that was sent to W3C Advisory Committee Representative earlier today, to notify the group of the new charter approval and call for participation. With kind regards, Xueyuan Jia, Marketing & Communications -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: Call for Participation: WebTransport Working Group Charter Approved; join the WebTransport WG Date: Mon, 9 Sep 2024 21:46:53 +0800 From: xueyuan <xueyuan@w3.org> To: w3c-ac-members@w3.org Dear Advisory Committee Representative, [This announcement will be forwarded to W3C group Chairs] W3C is pleased to announce the re-charter of the WebTransport Working Group: https://www.w3.org/2024/09/webtransport-wg-charter.html The group is chartered through 31 December 2025. The WebTransport Working Group, in collaboration with the IETF WebTransport Working Group, develops APIs that enable Web developers to make use of these new network capabilities, including possible fallback mechanisms to handle scenarios when a QUIC connection cannot be established. Please use the following form to have your organization join the group. The form will also instruct you how to nominate participants: https://www.w3.org/groups/wg/webtransport/join/ Current participants do not need to rejoin the group. Please consider diversity when proposing people to participate in W3C groups. Representation from a wider group of people, especially people from under-represented groups, is vital for creating web standards that meet the needs of the wider web community. The group chairs are Will Law (Akamai) and Jan-Ivar Bruaroey (Mozilla). The Team Contact is Yves Lafon, for 0.15 FTE. More information about the group can be found on the group home page: https://www.w3.org/groups/wg/webtransport/ [...] To see all changes relative to the previous charter, follow this link: https://services.w3.org/htmldiff?doc1=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2023%2F01%2Fwebtransport-wg-charter.html&doc2=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2024%2F09%2Fwebtransport-wg-charter.html To see all changes relative to the proposed charter that was under Member review , follow this link: https://services.w3.org/htmldiff?doc1=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2024%2F07%2Fwebtransport-wg-charter.html&doc2=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2024%2F09%2Fwebtransport-wg-charter.html This announcement follows section 5.7.2 of the W3C Process Document: https://www.w3.org/policies/process/20231103/#ACReviewAfter The Call for Participation follows section 4.4 of the W3C Process Document: https://www.w3.org/policies/process/20231103/#cfp Thank you, For Philippe le Hégaret, W3C Strategy and Project Lead, Yves Lafon, WebTransport WG Team Contact; Xueyuan Jia, W3C Marketing & Communications
