I am an AC representing a cluster of universities in France. Ok to participate to the A and C. If you REALY REALY need more folks for B I'm also in. My profile : I do not participate to WG but work with researchers who are participating, so my AC-Rep "job" is more administrative and representative. I am looking at putting together a list of people that represent user groups or industry sectors who use the W3C website. Group chairs, please forward to your groups. Let me know __no later than Friday May 8__ by responding to me or to <public-website-redesign@w3.org> if you are willing to participate in our short survey (a), be interviewed individually (b), be asked for feedback occasionally as the project advances (c), or all of the above! == Looking for volunteers to take a short user survey == Following on from the user stories submitted thus far [2], Studio 24 now want to test, __via a short survey__ if we have the right information, by gathering feedback from the wide range of different types of users on why they visit the W3C site. The aim is to identify specific user tasks and look at ways we can help them achieve their goals - from designing content, defining functionality, and deliverables. This helps measure the success of the project. The responses will be reviewed against the existing user groups and stories, to determine if we have missed any groups and if we have the right needs for each group. I worry that if we post the link to our survey in a few public places and most of the responses come from beginner web developers that follow @w3c on twitter (for example), that will lead us to develop a site that meets their needs while one of our objective is to improve the organization and usability of the website for our key audiences. == Looking for 5 to 10 volunteers for individual interviews== In parallel, Studio 24 would like to proceed with further user research by __conducting individual stakeholder interviews__ of at least 5 people that represent user groups or industry sectors who use the W3C website. This will afford them a clearer understanding of specific user needs, confirm how the redesign will support W3C’s objectives, and inform design decisions and help define UX milestones and objectives. It's important to try to get volunteers from the constituents as listed in <https://www.w3.org/wiki/2020_website_redesign/users#Confirm_who_the_users_are_and_their_weighing> For this reason, I would like to put together a list of people involved in W3C activities such as AC reps, chairs, spec editors, group participants, who would be willing to: * participate in a short user survey (spanning Monday May 11 - Wednesday May 20;) * be interviewed individually by Studio 24 (spanning Thursday May 19 - Tuesday May 19; under 30 minutes, can extend to 60) * and generally be asked for feedback in an ad-hoc fashion as this project progresses Thank you!
