Hi Second Screen CG, FYI Second Screen WG, I'm pleased to announce the availability of the "Form Factors Explained" document: https://webscreens.github.io/form-factors/ Quoting the Abstract: [[ This Form Factors Explained document discusses new device form factors referred to as foldable devices that are emerging and related terminology that is being established. This explainer also discusses multi-monitor setups that extend the overall visual workspace of a device. This document proposes one naming scheme to be able to reason about and use these terms and concepts consistently in related web specifications. The use of these terms in other contexts may differ. ]] Please find the list of related web specifications at [1]. Work on this document continues and feedback and suggestions are welcome via GitHub [2]. This document is proposed to be adopted as a non-normative report by the Second Screen CG in its Q4 2020 Charter update [3] to inform related normative web specifications. This work was kicked off based on discussions at the Aligning Foldable and Multi-Screen Proposals TPAC breakout session [4].
