henbos has just submitted a new pull request for https://github.com/w3c/webrtc-extensions: == Add restrictedResolution (aka scaleResolutionDownTo) to RTCRtpEncodingParameters == Fixes #159. As discussed in the Virtual Interim, "maxWidth" and "maxHeight" are more descriptive names. Based on this I think "restrictedResolution" is a more descriptive name than "scaleResolutionDownTo" which would also avoid getting "scaleBy" and "scaleTo" mixed up which would be easy if they had so similar names.
