I support promoting the document to WG draft. I believe the document is in a sufficiently good shape as a FPWD, which, AFAIK, does not entail a very high level of stability and maturity. In particular, the algorithms already have a good amount of precision and have been validated by a first implementation. The concept behind the draft has also been validated through the WebRTC Insertable Streams API. I agree with the concerns expressed by Bernard for video over RTP, and this needs to be addressed before moving forward to CR, PR and REC. I think there are several options to solve that particular issue, some being in the full hands of the W3C WebRTC WG. > On 9 Aug 2021, at 23:46, Bernard Aboba <Bernard.Aboba@microsoft.com> wrote: > > This is a Call for Consensus (CfC) for promotion of "WebRTC Encoded Transform" to WG Draft. > > The document is available for inspection here: > WebRTC Encoded Transform (w3c.github.io) <https://w3c.github.io/webrtc-encoded-transform/> > > The Github repo is here: > w3c/webrtc-encoded-transform: WebRTC Encoded Transform (github.com) <https://github.com/w3c/webrtc-encoded-transform> > > The CfC will last until August 30, 2021. > > In response, please state one of the following: > I support promoting the document to WG draft. > I object to promoting the document, due to Issues listed below (please include links to the Github Issues). > Bernard Aboba > For the ChairsReceived on Tuesday, 10 August 2021 07:16:06 UTC
