After long and hard work by the MediaCapture TF we're now in the situation that we have a new Editor's draft [1] and *no* open Pull Requests or Issues (except for a couple labeled "After Last Call") [2]. We think this is the right time to move to Last Call. LC does not mean that every detail is frozen and settled, but it is a signal that the group thinks that the document is ready for wider review and that it satisfies relevant technical requirements [3]. In particular, as the task force has already gone through several pre-last call reviews of the document, we expect that interested parties in the group have already had the opportunity to review the document and concerns that would be raised (if any) would be limited to recent changes brought to the document as part of our efforts in closing issues. There is one outstanding question, namely the requirement on the API to provide a mechanism for the requesting application to indicate if it requests a long term or one-time permission to use input devices [4]. However, [4] is a document developed by the IETF rtcweb WG which will discuss if this requirement can be removed. If the outcome is that it cannot be removed, that input can be given during the LC period. Due to to ongoing IETF meeting and the upcoming holidays we will let this CfC run until end of *April 10th 2015*. Explicit responses to this CfC are preferred, silence will be interpreted as being in agreement.
