I was surprised to see "Constrainable for RTCPC" still on the short-list of today's teleconference, and a decision of "Yes, just do it!". Did not everyone in this thread agree effectively to remove all constraints from PeerConnection and add them as dictionary members to either RTCConfiguration or CreateOfferOptions? List from http://dev.w3.org/2011/webrtc/editor/webrtc.html#constraints cross-referenced to Adam's proposals (and in one instance follow-ups) below: * OfferToReceiveVideo: [2] Move to CreateOfferOptions dictionary * OfferToReceiveAudio: [2] Move to CreateOfferOptions dictionary * VoiceActivityDetection: [4][6][7] Move to a CreateOfferOptions dictionary * IceTransports: [1] Move to RTCConfiguration * IceRestart: [3] Move to a CreateOfferOptions dictionary * RequestIdentity [5] Move to RTCConfiguration and CreateOfferAnswerOptions dictionary That's all of them. I propose we remove MediaConstraints from the webrtc spec entirely. Then Constrainable is not needed. All in favor? It's also a question about what precision we can have on the constraints since a MediaStream can contain several tracks and it's likely that the script would like to address constraints to individual MediaStreamTrack objects. We're probably better off with having constraints on the DooHickey object.
