And to reply in a far less formal way .... personally, I'm thankfully that WHATWG has not been changing their spec for this right now. That would make it harder to get to a good running code that is interoperable. My strong desire is that we end up with some specification across the various SDOs where the specifications matches the code - I believe that is also the desire many people in WHATWG so I suspect this will all get easier to resolve when we get to that point. RIght now the various W3C and IETF threads are helping get us to the interoperable running code.
