> Chrome and Safari are exposing deviceIds. I've filed [crbug 372252497](https://issues.chromium.org/u/1/issues/372252497) and [webkit 281077](https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=281077). Agree callback vs. event seems secondary. The [main question](https://github.com/w3c/mediacapture-screen-share/pull/289#discussion_r1784963312) seems to be over allowing late decision vs. limiting injection to tracks returned from getDisplayMedia(). What's the benefit of exposing surface tracks in the callback/event rather than new session tracks? -- GitHub Notification of comment by jan-ivar Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/mediacapture-screen-share-extensions/issues/4#issuecomment-2400632619 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
