In the CropTarget case, the value returned by the function is the CropTarget itself. Here, the returned value is whether the UA complied with the desire of the web page to focus or not. It makes sense to return this value as a promise since UA decision is async. The question you might raise is whether there is enough value for exposing this information or not.
