@jan-ivar, I think we have two key disagreements: 1. I don't think cross-origin isolation and/or opt-in would remove the need for in-browser blacking out or otherwise censor content prior to handing it over to the application. 2. I strongly disagree over the characterization of this API's benefits as "marginal." Almost all Google products use this. Facebook approximates this by asking the user to take a screenshot manually. There exists very popular libraries for approximating this by walking the DOM.
