Have to scurry off to a gig right now. Will need to go through answers on SO and logs of previous experiments. Would just use `getDisplayMedia()`, or, as suggested, use Native Messaging to launch the preferred browser in headless mode and take the screenshot. Native Messaging does have a curve to get used to, though once you get the patterns required you can essentially do whatever you want that is supported by the OS.
