@alvestrand Firefox lists > _**Monitor**_ of Built-in Audio Analog Stereo (emphasis added) at `getUserMedia()` prompt, Chromium does not. [How To Record Speaker Output on Linux](https://www.addictivetips.com/ubuntu-linux-tips/record-speaker-output-on-linux/) > Note: monitor means turning the output of the speakers into an input. Firefox requires executing `navigator.mediaDevices.getUserMedia()` before `navigator.mediaDevices.enumerateDevices()` to avoid an exception being thrown. Firefox throws an `OverConstrained` error when `exact` is used to set `deviceId` constraint. -- GitHub Notification of comment by guest271314 Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/mediacapture-main/issues/629#issuecomment-541342037 using your GitHub account
