There was a 'speaker' policy [proposed](https://github.com/w3c/mediacapture-main/issues/434), to complement `'microphone'` and `'camera'` from the media input side. The actual behaviour was never really decided on, and the presence of the policy was confusing (people thought that it should control *all* audio output, which it definitely didn't do) so it was removed recently from Chrome.
