How about the SFU's implementing support for MID and RID and learn the SSRC's from the RTP packets like the spec says to do?
I think if we keep SSRC around for "legacy" implementations then nobody is ever going to switch to the SSRC-free world which MID and RID promised, because everyone is going to be lazy and use the SSRCs as they are still available.
