Sorry, I didn't look carefully enough, @jan-ivar already found the right use counter for the callback-based variant: https://www.chromestatus.com/metrics/feature/timeline/popularity/1046 https://www.chromestatus.com/metrics/feature/timeline/popularity/1044 although oddly named because of its initial purpose, counts all calls to the callback-based variant.
